Outreach Ministry

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? The Outreach Ministry is an important part of the Church that ensures that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is shared to everyone we meet, through personal witnessing and sharing the Word of God. The ministry promotes Godly relationships amongst church and community members by facilitating spiritual and social events and activities. The ministry comprises of the following departments:

Evangelism Department

Luke 14: 23
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and
hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
The evangelism department is responsible for the spreading and
preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone including men,
women, young adults and children from every background and walks of
life. The specific role of the department is to seek lost souls, bring them
to the knowledge of the grace of salvation and guide them in having a
special relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Follow up Department

1 Thessalonians 4:1-2 1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. 2  For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. The Follow up department ensures there is a continuous communication and personal contact with the new members of the church. This is a department with the heart and compassion to establish people in the church and help them to be grounded in the word of God. The following are the specific roles of the department:  
.To follow up all newcomers to the church

·To regularly follow up members of OHS who have missed services

for any reason and visit them at home where necessary.

Mission Department

Acts 13:47
47  For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a
light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. Mission group is a department responsible for planting churches to reach out to souls in different communities. The role of the mission department is to key into the RCCG vision number five (planting churches within 5 minutes walking distance in every city and towns of developing countries and within 5 minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries).

Social/Community Engagement Department

1 Corinthians 1:10
10  Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. Social/Community engagement department is the arm of the church that interfaces with the local community by providing basic and charitable services for free, whilst introducing the love of Christ and preaching the Gospel.
